Yemen is not a sudden emergency. It is a slow one, which is why it slips off the news and why families there are so easily forgotten. We have not left.
And they give food, despite their love for it, to the needy, the orphan and the captive.

Yemen has been at war for a decade. The economy that fed the country collapsed with it: salaries stopped, the currency fell, and imported food became unaffordable in a place that imports most of what it eats. Hunger here is not caused by an absence of food in the world. It is caused by families having no money and no working market.
The health system took the same blow. Around half of all health facilities are only partly functioning, so treatable illness becomes fatal illness, and cholera returns whenever clean water fails. Displaced families living in tents and unfinished buildings are hit first and hardest.
Our teams live in the communities they serve, which is the reason we can still deliver when larger operations pause. The work is deliberately practical:
